The High Point Police Department and High Point Community Against Violence (HPCAV) hosted the National Network for Safe Communities’ second Peer Exchange site visit, welcoming twenty-eight law enforcement, community and research partners from eight National Network Leadership Group cities. The Peer Exchange program included site visits, workshops and presentations focusing on High Point’s innovative applications of the National Network Strategies to a variety of violent crime and drug market problems and their groundbreaking work around (1) law enforcement institutionalization (2) community moral engagement through HPCAV and (3) racial reconciliation between law enforcement and affected communities.
